This week I am going to go over the second largest GSA Schedule 00CORP. When the GSA consolidated this schedule a little over a year ago it became the second largest schedule with only IT70 being larger.
QUESTION: Why were all the professional services all merged into00CORP?
ANSWER: The major reason was that prior to 00CORP being combined many firms had to have multiple schedules to achieve the same results. This created an additional administrative burden for both the GSA as well as firms on schedule.
Here are the current overall numbers for 00CORP
|SIN||Size||# of Schedule Holders||Sales||Avg. Sales|
According to our table there are a total of 4,303 00CORP Schedule Holders on 00CORP. Small Businesses are found on 12,331 SINs contract holders (Special Item Numbers which are subsets of the 00CORP schedule). Large businesses were found to have 5,101 different SINS contract holders.
Small Business SINs per 00CORP GSA Schedule Holder = 3.78 (12,331/3,261)
Large Business SINs per 00CORP GSA Schedule Holder = 4.88 (5,101/1,045)
Large businesses on 00CORP utilize on average 1 more SIN than small businesses but the reality is that small businesses are playing the 00CORP SIN field as well. So you can see from these numbers why merging all the professional services schedules into one lowers the administrative burden overall.
Individual SINS are Important
Simply being on the professional services schedule does not guarantee a small business $1MM per year in federal sales. It is helpful if what you sell to the government are things that agencies utilize on this contracting vehicle. So the next step is to look at the SINs where the federal government purchases the majority of their goods and services and determine if any of them fit what services your firm provides.
Here are the list of the top 30 SINS for Small Business on 00CORP. There are over a hundred different SINS that firms combine in order to obtain their $1MM in average sales.

Hopefully this helps people understand how combining various SINs on 00CORP can lead to a SIN Smorgasbord. One SIN by itself will more than likely not help a firm to obtain the million dollar average however combining 2-5 SINS together and your firm could be well on its way.
